Shades of Blue

These jeans are so long on me that I have to wear my highest heels with them, and they are still too long! I usually get all of my jeans hemmed since I am not that tall, but for some reason I wanted to keep these longer. I love mixing bright colors and I am really liking the mix of different shades of blue with a pop of color from my lip stick and nails. I am wearing Revlon-Siren lipstick, which is kind of an orange-y color.

Something New

I am completely in love with my new Miu Miu heels I got on major sale! I spent forever looking for them and knew they were perfect when I saw them (plus they were on sale for a great price!). It was pouring rain yesterday, so instead of getting to take pictures in them, I took a picture of them. I can't wait to put tons of outfits together with them.

Today I'm Gonna SHINE

Well I want to introduce you all to an amazing girl named Ashley. She writes The Shine Project, a blog that gives daily motivation about how we all can SHINE. Jumpsuits and Jeffrey Campbells

This past weekend was actually pretty eventful for me. On Friday I went with my mom to pick my little brother up from camp at Stanford. We stayed the night and went out to breakfast and to the Stanford shopping center on Saturday morning. I picked up a few new things that are soon to come in pictures :) Then yesterday, my boyfriend and I drove to Yosemite really early and went hiking. We did the 4 mile trail, which is actually 4.6 miles up and 4.3 miles back. It was so beautiful and fun, but exhausting! These pictures are from a date night with my boyfriend last week (he grilled veggie burgers). I adore this jumpsuit and I love how it hangs on my body. I actually wore it for my older sisters graduation when I went to Hawaii last month. It was raining, but still hot, so this was the perfect alternative to a dress.

Here you go! You know all of my makeup secrets now :)  I have been using the moisturizer and mascara for forever and have tried many others, but always come back to these two products. This mascara is seriously THE BEST. I always have at least three in my makeup bag. I just started using the Chanel bronzer (before I have used Bobby Brown and Bare Essentials), but I really like how this bronzer looks so smooth on my face. Also, I think it is really important to invest in good makeup brushes and take good care of them (i.e. actually clean them!). It really does make a difference on how the makeup lays on your face. I am no expert, but I have done many trial and errors so this is just from my experience. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Light as a Feather

I feel like today was an unproductive day. Although I worked for six hours, I didn't do much else. I feel like the hotter it gets, the more lazy I become? It was so hot today that I wanted to throw on really light pieces so that I could breathe. I got this tube top at Free People a couple months ago and I love how it has almost a lace feel to it because of the cutouts in the fabric. Again, I have unbuttoned this blouse (usually worn buttoned up) and threw it on over the tube top. It worked very well because it is so loose and feels like I have nothing on. I ordered a few things online recently and cannot wait for them to come in the mail and share them with you all!

Yellowgreen

I cannot figure out if this top is green or yellow. It looks more green in person, but more yellow in my pictures. Anyway, I really like it and the color was a nice addition to my wardrobe. This cotton vest can be worn in so many ways. I have worn it with a white t-shirt and I have even worn it over a sequins tank top. I got it at a boutique called Stella in Fresno, CA. They have really cute inexpensive clothes, shoes, and accessories there. I just got back from San Francisco (I'm gonna be so tired at work in the morning) because we went to the Giants game. Although the game was not very exciting, we had a great time!

Tulips

This skirt makes me feel like a tulip, hence the title of this post "tulips". I love it because it maintains its shape throughout the day. I got this button up in the men's section at Forever21(seen here). I love how it fades into another color, although you can't really tell in my pictures. My boyfriend and I went running today after work and it was suuuuuper hot, but we went swimming right when we got back. I love the summer evenings though, when it's still warm out but there is a nice breeze that's keeps you from getting too warm. So lovely.

Just Put A Scarf In It

I am always trying to figure out new things to do with my hair, especially since I get so bored with it just down and straight everyday. I love to use different accessories as accent pieces and it's always fun when you can use it in your hair as well. I decided to wrap one my favorite scarves around my pony tail and then tie it into a bow. It was perfect for the relaxing summer barbecue that I was going to and with my casual white tee and jean shorts outfit. Also, you can't see it that well, but my nail polish is Essie "lilacism" (my new fav color for summer)!

On A Stroll

As you can see, my boyfriend and I walked the whole 3 minutes to Jamba Juice because I was craving one of their berry toppers (sooo yummy). Thank goodness it was not very far because it is way too hot to be walking for a long time outside. I wore one of my favorite blouses. Usually I wear it buttoned up, but I have been obsessed lately with throwing it on over tank tops. These are also my favorite sunglasses! xo

It's Definitely Summer Now

This is my attempt at the "faux bob" hairstyle. It's a lot harder than it looks (at least for me) especially with long hair. I saw a picture of Jaime King with her hair like that and wanted to try it out. I think it is a really beautiful and feminine hair style. Alright, So I got these wedges last Summer when Cynthia Vincent had a line with Target. They are kind of funky, but still good to mix around and have some fun with! I love this blouse that I got from Bamboo Sky and even though it is long sleeved, the cut-outs and chiffon material make it still wearable for summer. It is getting so hot here now, it was in the mid 90s today and will only get hotter from here..
