Neon Yellow & Floral

Skirt & Coat c/o Karen Kane, Blouse Tobi, Pumps & Clutch Zara

I bought a couple of these blouses from Tobi not only because they were really inexpensive, but they are so versatile and can add color to almost anything. I thought that I would bring out the gorgeous yellow in this skirt and really make it stand out. I'm drawn to anything neon yellow right now (Old Navy has some great stuff!) and I like it against my dark hair. I felt so ladylike in this outfit, which I love because I would describe myself as pretty girly. (I think I'm somewhat like Jess from New Girl)
I want to thank all of you SO much for all of the support/help you gave me on my new hair color. I cancelled my appointment to get the color stripped off after many of you told me that it would severely damage my hair. The dark is slowly growing on me and I can see that it's already slightly fading. I took some of your helpful tips and went and got some of the products you guys recommended!

Hair Details & More Brights In Winter

Blazer J. Crew, Dress Tobi, Oxfords Zara, Aviators Ray Ban, Necklace LYLIF

The weather has been unusually warm this week, it even reached 70 degrees today! I thought it was the perfect time to bring out a new bright colored dress for Spring and keep it somewhat winter appropriate with a navy blazer. As most of you known by now, I love color and this bright orange dress grabbed my attention instantly.
On another note, let's talk about my hair :) I told you guys a little over a week ago that I was getting my hair done and that I hadn't decided what I wanted to do. When I went to the salon, I decided to go lighter and take the blonde that was on the ends of my ombre and bring them up. To put it lightly, I was not pleased with the results. It just didn't look like me. So THEN, I went back to the salon and told them that I wanted to go darker. Not too dark. I was thinking Olivia Palermo brown. (she's pinned all over my pinterest boards) What I have now is the results of that. And again, I'm not pleased. The blonde ends did not want to take color as well as my roots, so now I have a two-toned color that is somewhat red/brown and grey/blonde on the ends. It's been frustrating because I feel as if I'm complaining a lot and being too picky. But it's my hair! Hair can be a very sensitive thing...at least for me. I have always been very conscientious of taking good care of my hair and try to keep it healthy. I now am getting my hair done for the third time on Sunday (along with a deep conditioning treatment so my hair won't get too mad at me) and I'm really nervous. I'm hoping that the results look something like this
So wish me luck! & Have a fabulous weekend.

Winter is fast approaching! Perhaps its time to start thinking about buying some knitwear to keep warm (like this one!)

Pink + Red

Blouse Tobi, Trousers Anthropologie (similar style here), Pumps Zara, Belt Vintage, Necklaces Spike the Punch, Sunnies Elizabeth and James, Purse Chanel

I have seen pink and red paired together everywhere lately. After I saw this look and this post, I decided to give it a try. I really love the contrast of the two colors. I would have never thought to try try it! One of the reasons why I love blogging and street style is that there is inspiration everywhere. It can feel a little weird going out of your comfort zone, but it's fun to play around with different patterns and colors and test your imagination.
Have a great weekend!

In A Hurry

Coat c/o Karen Kane, Jeans 7 for All Mankind, Clutch Bookhou (on Etsy), Shoes Shoemint, Sock Thomas's, Sunnies Elizabeth and James

Hey Gals!
These are the same booties that I wore for our engagement photos. They are from Shoemint and I am mildly obsessed with them. I don't know if it's the color or if it's because they are just really comfortable, but they get worn a lot! It's not always practical running walking to class in heels, so I usually switch up wearing my Modern Vintage black booties or these. (I like to add some height to this 5'5'' frame)
Anyways, I got ready in .34734 seconds today, hence the crazy wind hair! But I'm in love with my new fur collar Karen Kane coat.

P.S. Yes, I know the middle button of my coat is undone. I told you I got ready fast...and I guess my photog (umm Thomas!) didn't notice.

Asymmetrical

Body Suit American Apparel, Skirt Forever21, Heels Proenza Schouler, Purse Stella McCartney, Necklace LYLIF, Lipstick Revlon "Plum"

I don't know about all of you, but I am definitely smitten with all of the asymmetrical (or high-low as some say) skirts everywhere. I picked up this polka dot one from Forever21 the other day and have already been planning/creating many outfits with it. I can't believe I already have midterms next week! I guess time really does fly by.

Simple Pairings

Leather Jacket Kenna T (old from Nordstrom, similar style here), Top J. Crew, Skirt Belt & Tights Forever21, Pumps Zara, Purse Tory Burch, Sunnies Elizabeth and James

Starting my week off with a simple outfit. I feel like this is my go-to look: skirt, tights, button up and blazer or jacket. It works for both my internship and school so I don't have to worry about changing.

Comfy Casual

Top Michael Stars, Vest Free People (old), Jeans J Brand, Booties Asos, Beanie Forever21, Purse Tory Burch, Necklace Madewell, Bracelets Bfrend, Oia Jules, Stella & Dot, Watch Michael Kors

This week went by very slow and I'm glad the weekend is here. The gloomy weather has me wanting to stay in bed all day and cuddle up with some hot chai tea. I've been wearing much more casual outfits lately filled with jeans and knits. I know some of you were asking me what my more causal outfit looks are, so I hope the last few posts were helpful.
If you follow me on Twitter, then you probably saw my post about getting my hair done next week! I'm getting rid of the ombre and I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. I want something natural and simple. I just really don't want a hair color that is "too trendy" for our wedding like ombre.
Happy Weekend!

Laid Back Knits

Top Zara, Blazer Vince (old, but really loving this one), Vest TJ Maxx, Jeans c/o Big Star Jeans USA, Pumps Zara, Bag Stella McCartney, Belt Forever21, Beanie My Fiancés, Bracelet c/o Oia Jules, Sunnies Elizabeth and James

I can't seem to get enough pops of neon right now. Everything on my Spring/Summer wish list (that is already growing quite extensively) is brightly colored and a little loud. In the meantime though, I am trying to incorporate lots of color into my winter wardrobe to keep it cheerful while it's so gloomy out.
