I'm so excited that Miss Julia let me take over her fabulous blog today.

I'm Ashley, and I run the blog The Shine Project.

I've felt this pressure lately. Pressure to rise above myself, do something hard, and make a difference. Have you ever felt like that? I realized that the time is now to take a deep breath, and go after my dreams. I believe we should all be the hero to our own life story.

But more importantly, I believe we should also be the hero in someone else's.

Right now I'm in the middle of a huge CHANGE4CHANGE campaign to raise $20,000 for 8 inner city high school students to pay for their first year of college. I know that if we all come together for one great cause, a difference can be made. I'm throwing a big silent auction/fundraiser on October 20th in Arizona (more info on my blog), and also an online raffle!
