Can you believe this dress is only $44!? It's from the adorable online boutique Minted Republic. I love the lace detailing and how it scoops in the back. Thomas and I decided to dress up for no specific reason and get breakfast this morning. It was somewhat of a celebratory breakfast since classes are officially over. We will both be gone this weekend, so we like to spend some "special" time together before we leave.

I'm currently in the middle of finals and finishing up school. Classes are officially over after today and I graduate next weekend! I still can't believe how fast everything is going by. I'm heading to Santa Monica this Sunday and Monday for the Lucky FABB West Conference. I'm so excited to meet up with some of my favorite bloggers and listen to the speakers.

Summer has come full force and it's not messing around.

It has been over 90 degrees this past weekend, leaving me (and pretty much everyone)

wanting to jump in the nearest pool and wear as little clothes as possible. 

This little white number grabbed my attention with it's cut-out daisy detailing. 

I had been on the hunt for a new white dress for summer and loved the playfulness

How To: Style a Tunic with Minted Republic

Hey Gals!

It's finally the weekend and I feel as if it's a well deserved one.

I'm hoping to get a little downtime and really narrow in on this job searching.

I last wore these pants here mixing them with another print, but opted for something a little less "notice me!" today. I kept it casual for a busy day. I love polka dots because they really do add personality to a rather simple ensemble.

P.S. Looking back at that photo really shows how much my hair has faded, huh?

Warm, sunny weekends call for comfy clothes including relaxed maxi dresses. 

I'm really drawn to this one from BCBGeneration because of it's loose fit and guess what...it has pockets! It's perfect for errands and lounging about. Speaking of lounging about, I wish I could do just that right about now. Instead, I will be up until the wee hours of the morning trying to finish upcoming projects and presentations that are due this week. Fun!

One Year

Today officially marks the one year anniversary of Gal Meets Glam.

I started my blog a year ago today on whim, never having looked at a blog before.

I wanted to create a site where I could share all of my passions combined

- fashion, styling, beauty and everything glam.

I decided on creating a blog because it was a quick and easy way of getting started. 

After about a week of having my blog, I was blown away from discovering this "blog world".

I found so many inspirational people, pictures, websites, videos and I couldn't wait to get my hands on a little bit of everything. 

I feel so blessed to be able to share what I love and have such an amazing group of readers who have encouraged me along the way. This whole thing is a learning process and I continue to grow with each day. It's funny to look back and remember having 1 page view (I'm pretty sure it was my own) and to look how far it has come now. 

My blog has given me so many great opportunities and has connected me with people I otherwise would have never met. I am so grateful for all of the amazing relationships I have been able to build and to know that hard work does pay off. 

I want to thank you all for following me through this journey and continue with me as I take these next big steps in life. They are the biggest yet (graduating college, moving to a big city with my fiancé, starting my first "real job" and getting married) and I'm beyond ready to take it all on.

I decided to hop on the peplum trend once I spotted this top from Anthropologie. I'm now looking for a white skirt to pair it with- I think an all white outfit is a must in the summertime. 

I'm really busy right now, with all of my finals, papers, essays and everything else being due. I can't believe I have about 3 weeks left of college!!! Wish me luck :)

If you're like me, then you have lots of events coming up (graduation, grad parties, bridal showers, weddings, and much more!) This means a need for fun spring dresses that are both versatile enough to go from event to event. I'm definitely going to be reaching for a bright colored feminine silhouette or a cute lace number. Any of these options would look great with either flats, sandals, wedges or heels.

But, if you are graduating on grass like I am, then you'll want to lean towards sandals or wedges so you don't sink into the ground!

Easter Brunch

On Sunday, Thomas and I went to brunch together. Just the two of us.

We spent almost three hours drinking mimosas, cappuccinos, eating tons of food and just relaxing.

It was so wonderful and much needed. I was happy he had the day off from baseball and that we had nowhere to be. After that, we went to my aunt and uncles house and had a great Easter dinner with my family. 

It was a pretty great day!

I'm wearing my favorite denim shirt (again!). I really recommend getting one if you don't have one already. It becomes quite the staple in your wardrobe and goes with anything & everything.

I love the look of denim on denim (inspiration), especially if the washes are different colors.

The fun part is that you can add any pop of color you wish!
