Dress Anthropologie, Wedges ShoeMint
For our last night in Florence, Thomas and I went to a delicious
restaurant called Za-Za, recommended by our tour guide.
One thing that took some getting used to in Italy was eating later.
We are so used to eating dinner around 6pm, but in Italy most people
don't head out to dinner until a least 8 or 8:30.
While this was strange at first, we quickly became accustomed to the time change
and soon loved our new ritual of heading to early cocktails and relaxing
before dinner.
early cocktails and dinner? Sounds good to me. Gorgeous look Julia! I can't wait to go to Italy for our HM next March!

ReplyDeleteThat dress is so lovely! you pull it off so well.. I don't think I could! haha. I have always ate a bit later because my mom is foreign haha. I love it!

love the color of the dress!
ReplyDeleteSounds great! We actually go to dinner even later in Greece. Somewhere around 9-10.30. In extreme cases even after 11. I know it's not the best, but it happens! I hope you had lots of fun on your honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteCall me M @ Do You Speak Gossip?
It seems perfect for a carefree honeymoon in Italy; eating that much later would simply feel luxurious!

Love your dress, so fun and floral!
ReplyDeleteIt's really normal. In Europe we have dinner late starting at 8pm. Sometimes at 9pm or 10pm.
ReplyDeleteFor me that was also a problem when I went to NY where everyone on campus ate at 6pm as you said... That was also very weird! =)

We learned that the hard way--with a 2 year old! She was ready for dinner at 5pm and ready for bed by 8pm. Thankfully, she's a trooper and it all worked out. Love your dress, perfect!
