Last Night In Florence

Dress Anthropologie, Wedges ShoeMint

For our last night in Florence, Thomas and I went to a delicious
restaurant called Za-Za, recommended by our tour guide.
One thing that took some getting used to in Italy was eating later.
We are so used to eating dinner around 6pm, but in Italy most people
don't head out to dinner until a least 8 or 8:30.
While this was strange at first, we quickly became accustomed to the time change
and soon loved our new ritual of heading to early cocktails and relaxing
before dinner.

Our last day in Florence was spent wandering around, exploring the San Lorenzo Market, eating
gelato and discovering the most amazing focaccia bread ever!
We loved getting lost in all of the little streets within Florence and always having
our trusty iphone map to get us back to our hotel.

Sherbet Stripes & A Night in Florence

Dress Anthropologie, Heels Givenchy, Purse Miu Miu, Necklace Kate Spade NY (It says "Mrs" and was a gift from my sister)

For our third night in Florence, Thomas and went to the rooftop bar at one of our hotels
(the boutique hotel we stayed at was part of four hotels) for drinks before dinner.
The two photos over-looking florence were taken there, where we have a 360 degree
view of the city. If you are looking for a great spot to go before dinner, definitely look up
The Sky Bar at the Continental.
We then headed to dinner at 4 Leoni (recommended by a reader)
and it was probably one of our favorite restaurants in Italy!
It was by far the least expensive dinner we went to and had the best
wine and ravioli. Ah, I'm dreaming of it still....!

Exploring Florence

Dress Dorothy Perkins, Wedges Prada, Sunglasses Dior, Bag Miu Miu

Thomas and I spent our second day in Florence with a private guide
(a gift from my grandparents) that took us around the city.
He explained in detail, the history behind the city and the most important
locations, statues and paintings.
Of course, he took us to see the David (which unfortunately
you cannot take pictures of) which was incredibly beautiful
and mind-blowing that Michelangelo carved it from one piece of marble.
As you can see, I obviously didn't wear wedges on our tour, but
changed into them after for some pre-dinner drinks.

Florence

Dress c/o Kate Spade New York, Heels random boutique in Milan, Purse Balenciaga, Lipstick NARS Heat Wave

Our first night in Florence, Thomas and I got dressed up, grabbed something quick to eat,
got gelato and sat outside listening to live music going on in the street.
It was the perfect first evening.
As we were about to leave, a proposal happened
right behind us and reminded us of how quickly that time went.
A whole new chapter has started now and we are just as, if not more
excited :)

P.S. Check out a sneak peek of our wedding on Silvana Di Franco's
website here and her facebook here!
