Black, White & Blue

I'm all about cobalt blue this season and I can't get enough of
it paired with black and white.
How cute does that bow look on that polka dot dress!?
I might just need both...

Milan, Day 1

Dress ASOS, Sandals Madewell, Purse Balenciaga, Sunnies Replay

Milan has been incredible.
Today was our first day checking out the city. We got in yesterday morning but
were exhausted from our long travels and slept until dinner.
Today we explored the city, checked out all of the top fashion houses
and ate tons and tons of really yummy food!
This denim ASOS dress is perfect for traveling. The cutout back and simplicity
makes it ideal for the hot weather here in Italy.

P.S. I agree with the statement above, "All you need is Ice Cream" or some
really amazing gelato.

Ice Cream

Top ASOS (on sale!), Jeans Goldsign, Wedges c/o ShoeMint, Glasses Random Boutique (similar here), Purse Balenciaga

I think that every girl should have a fun printed blouse in her closet.
What's not to love about a shirt covered in ice cream cones?
Except, all day I really wanted an ice cream cone. I guess that's not a bad
problem to have :)

Purple Pick-Me-Up

Lately I have realized that I don't have many purple
items in my closet, which is surprising because lavender is one
of my favorite colors.
I was inspired by this Dorothy Perkins polka dot dress (on sale for $29!!!)
and decided to put together a wish list of purple items that I would
love to have magically appear in my closet.

Traveling Basics

With my upcoming honeymoon to Italy, I have been slowly
trying to pick up basics that will be easy to travel with and layer.
A simple striped tank (or t-shirt) is always the first thing I go to.
I love stripes because they go with almost anything. They look cute
with jeans, you can dress them up with jewelry or wear them with a print!
A cross body bag, some flats, a watch, scarf, passport holder, sunnies and
a camera are all must-haves that you should not leave home without!

A Staple Piece

Blazer J. Crew, Jumper c/o BCBGeneration, Booties ASOS (from last summer, similar style here), Necklaces c/o Stella & Dot (here and here), Bag Tory Burch

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is, "What are the
staple items in your wardrobe?" While this can vary throughout each season,
one thing that remains constant is a good blazer.
The great thing about a blazer is that you can throw it over practically anything
and instantly make it look more polished. Take, for example, this summer romper.
The back is completely open (which I love!), it's short and has a floral pattern.
When I put my navy blazer over it, it turns from a bohemian laid-back look to one more
suited for work/meetings/everyday/etc.
Happy Friday Everyone!

Summer Wish List- Under $50!

Target Bikini- (Top $14) (Bottom $16)

My current wish list for summer is full of accessories for the beach, for work,
for our traveling adventures and everything in between. I really love the
idea of throwing my hair up into a sloppy pony or bun and adding a cute
scarf headband like the one from TopShop above or a big floppy hat.
I also like to add funky jewelry or accessories like the Jonathan Adler scooter pouch,
turtle studs and lip necklace. I also chose these really cute Target sandals and Soludos
espadrilles for our upcoming trip to Italy.

Comfy Casual

Top Michael Stars, Vest Free People (old), Jeans J Brand, Booties Asos, Beanie Forever21, Purse Tory Burch, Necklace Madewell, Bracelets Bfrend, Oia Jules, Stella & Dot, Watch Michael Kors

This week went by very slow and I'm glad the weekend is here. The gloomy weather has me wanting to stay in bed all day and cuddle up with some hot chai tea. I've been wearing much more casual outfits lately filled with jeans and knits. I know some of you were asking me what my more causal outfit looks are, so I hope the last few posts were helpful.
If you follow me on Twitter, then you probably saw my post about getting my hair done next week! I'm getting rid of the ombre and I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. I want something natural and simple. I just really don't want a hair color that is "too trendy" for our wedding like ombre.
Happy Weekend!
