I've always favored gold over silver. I'm not exactly sure why, but I love the
way it stands out. For someone with very feminine style it adds a nice
edge. I decided to play up the chain details on this Chanel-esque blazer
with some more subtle gold accents.
I wore this outfit last Friday and after work Thomas and I walked to
Fort Mason, where they have Off The Grid on Friday nights. They have
around 30 food trucks varying in ranges of cuisine. We went with Thai for dinner
and kettle corn for dessert. It was a fun evening with live music and beautiful weather.

Fall Colors

Yesterday was one of warmest, prettiest days in SF.

It felt weird bringing shorts back out in October, but I paired

them with some of my favorite fall colors. 

Thomas and I started out our day by heading to the bookstore where I 

picked up "The Paris Wife" to read in my spare time.

One Top, Two Ways

Striped t-shirts are probably the most worn and versatile
piece of clothing in my wardrobe.
From weekday to weekend, they work for anything.
StyleMint  does a great job at making simple striped tees in different colors,
fabrics and styles. You can see some of my other looks here, here, here and here.
This time, I paired the Finn T-shirt two different ways:
The first look was for work and day of meetings. I wore my StyleMint
Mona loafers with a simple black skirt and tights. I changed into deep purple
jeans and a leather jacket to grab dinner later that night with my husband.

Classic

Top Vintage (from Backtalk Vintage), Skirt Nicole Miller (pre-owned from Simply Chic SF), Bag Chicos, Coat Zara, Sunglasses Dior, Heels Christian Louboutin, Necklace c/o Stella & Dot, 

I pulled out this skirt (that I had nearly forgotten about) and wanted 

to get a few wears out of it before the weather completely changes.

It can warm up a little bit during the day, but once the sun starts to go down

and the fog comes in, it's all scarves, sweaters and jackets for me.

I stopped by Fawn, a local boutique, this past weekend and they had a trunk show

for RillRill, an Oregon based jewelry designer/vintage shop (BackTalk Vintage).

I picked up this cute little top for next to nothing! I'm wishing I would have 

bought a few more things... Do you guys know of any awesome vintage

 shops in the SF area? I'm still exploring and trying to figure out the best places to go!

Weekend Florals

It warmed up a bit this past weekend and I threw on this easy
floral dress for brunch. I love simple dresses that work for
multiple occasions. 

Doesn't this dress just feel like a Sunday brunch dress?!
I brought out my favorite Tory Burch bag that I received as a gift
last Christmas. The color is so versatile and will definitely be my
bag of choice for Fall.

Turquoise Mix

The weather has warmed up a bit and allowed me to 

bring out some more summery pieces that have been sitting and waiting

for the perfect day. 

This dress makes me feel like I need to be on an exotic vacation. 

To make it more practical I added a blazer. 

Thank goodness for blazers, they always save me.

Red Sunglasses

I had my eye on these sunglasses for a while and finally bought them right

before the 4th of July. I thought they suited the day pretty well.

I was really excited when I got an extra 30% off the sale price! (J.Crew is having a sale

Collar Added

 Dress Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Sweater Aritzia, Necklace Forever21 and c/o Stella & Dot, Heels Givenchy (60% off!), Bag Balenciaga 

I have been wanting a detachable collar for a while, but didn't want to 

pay a lot since I wasn't sure if I would wear it much. I quickly jumped

on this one from Forever21 since the price was great...and boy, am I glad I did!

I have always been a big fan of collared tops and blouses, so now I can add one 

to all my dresses, sweaters and shirts that don't have one!

I especially love the look of a T-shirt paired with a collar.

It's a great way to transition a simple tee.

I also really love these collars: one, two, three, four, five.

I'm finally adjusting to the weather in San Francisco (as bipolar as it is).

 I can still wear my summer items as long as I have a jacket or 

sweater to layer over them. Currently my favorite thing to do is layer knit sweaters

over dresses. It not only keeps me warmer, but it's a great way to dress down 

some of my dressier dresses.

Pink Peplum

I got this dress a while ago at Zara and was instantly drawn
to the soft pink color. I normally wouldn't wear such a
tight fitting dress, but the peplum detail really flatters my body and makes
it more comfortable.

Sunday in the Park

Today was the ideal Sunday.

Thomas and I started off our morning walking down to the ferry building

for breakfast and to get some groceries. The weather was amazing all weekend,

especially today. Since it was 75+ degrees, we decided to pack up a lunch, blanket and 

some books on Italy and head to the park. 

I was so nice to lay out in the sun with my best friend. We spent time drawing

pictures of each other and then laughing at how horrible they were. We had bubblegum 

blowing contests. We planned some "must see" destinations for our trip to Italy. 

And then we got gelato!
